Brief RL Stuff

labingi* An orb weaver has made a web between my kitchen and back door, and it's so pretty I can't bear to destroy it. So the orb weaver is staying for the time being. (The ants do not get the same consideration.)
* Poor incoming freshmen trying to register for classes at orientation. With some few exceptions, they get so worried and frustrated when the classes they wanted are full. And I know that in their place I would feel exactly the same way, but I just want to hug them and say, "It's not that big a deal. In five years, none of this will matter."
* I seem to be fighting off some mild stomach bug. It hasn't prevented me from fulfilling any of my daily tasks, but it has me rather off my food.
* Am tired of the rain. It's July 18. I have resigned my Californian self to the fact that I live in a place that gets rain and clouds nine months of the year, but I want the other three!
* Am cat-sitting forsixish. The kitties are so cute!
