L: Change the World Review
Aug. 26th, 2009 07:30 pmSaw L: Change the World yesterday. I thought it was much better than people had said it was. Of course, I saw it raw and could only understand about 3% of the Japanese (and 80% of the English); maybe this facilitated my enjoyment. The basic storyline was not hard to follow. I think B (not that one) did a better job of translating it based on the visuals than I did attempting to translate the Japanese. ( SPOILERS Ahoy! )
Tori Amos' "Waitress" and Death Note
Jul. 12th, 2009 08:20 pmI have been rediscovering Tori Amos lately through Venus Orbiting, which has a fantastic re-visioning of the song, "Waitress." And it came to me that this song is just about the perfect L and B song, that is, B's POV of L.
