quaint_twilight and 99me. I've just been contemplating MoB's awesomeness at fulfilling the quintessential yaoi/slash project of deconstructing gender roles. To wit, tell me, O MoB fans, which one is the heroine? Before you answer, consider:
Which one lives for (romantic/sexual) love?
Which one is subject to sexual threats?
Which one gets more pregnancy imagery?
Which one was actually pregnant?
Which one lives to support "the great man"?
Which one needs more protecting?
Which one tends to be dismissed as subordinate?
Which one sexually penetrated?
Which one often considers their love in terms of feeling violated (and often enjoys it)?
Hint: the answer is not always obvious, and in some cases, the answer can only be "both."
