labingiHappy Barricade Day! I was reading a chapter for my homework about environmental activism in Nigeria against Shell in the 1980s and how it ended with agitators being executed, and I wrote "barricade" in the margin, because that's how my brain works. And then I remembered it is June 6th today. As old and very old-school Eurocentric as it is, this story never stops being relevant--and hope inspiring.
