I agree with you about the ending. It does seem to set up a battle that Gi-Hun realistically can't win, but probably... may for narrative purposes? Then again, the end of capitalism actually is easier than the end of the world, and maybe it's time for our media to look for ways to intelligently depict that, or steps toward it.
